Restoration furniture project

Restoration Furniture Project

Restore-ation is a project of the charity West End Impact.

After the success of the Re Store, the furniture restoration and upcycling business needed a new home.

Peter is the manager of the shop, he has experience in Furniture restoration and French polishing. He has previously carried out work for the Odd Chair Company and has 17 years of experience in the building materials trade.

Peter's vision is to provide a range of bespoke, restored and up cycled items as well as some affordable pieces to help the local community. Peter recently joined the creative west end network and feels he would like to get people together to repair and improve the environment of the West End area. Fixing benches, fences the odd lick of paint.

"If the place is not attractive, people will not be attracted to the place".

Peter has also received some funding from CWE to further an educational programme allowing local  people to learn skills in restoring, upcycling and refinishing.

He hopes to have a stall at the next market with demonstrations and activities for people to take part in.

If you would like to learn skills or you want  help with some upcycling project pop in to 42 Yorkshire Street and say hello or email therestore71@gmail.com
