If you’re a dab hand at creative fairs and events already or if you’re just starting to think about the possibility of turning your skill into a business, we have something for you at Creative West End Markets. This year's programme will see us taking over the space on West End Gardens on the Second Saturday of every month from May - September with our collective offering.
As ever, events will include a wide and diverse range of community-led creativity. With performance, visual arts and other activities on hand - the Creative West End Market offers fun for all ages and abilities, and a great community vibe. We're stepping it up this year, now running a market once a month - meaning more markets than usual, and ultimately, more opportunities and creative fun!
If you’d like to put a bit more thought into your stall or you’re thinking of trying it for the first time - then we’re having a session to trouble shoot and share tips at the April Network Party. Frances Trainor of @seasidestitches will be on hand to share her experience as a regular contributor last year. We’ll also be putting out some top tips from previous stall holders on social media to keep you focussed.
Click here to find out more about the Network Party on Wed 12 April. Make sure to book your free ticket so we know how many to cater for, thanks!
We’re keen to get a good crew of regular stall holders that support all the events, as well as some that might rotate to keep things interesting - so do feel free to just sign up for one or two (first time stall holders will receive a discount). We’re also offering a discount to those that book for all 5 markets and to West End residents - so if you think you're ready, we’d love you to come on the journey with us. You might as well come along to our Network parties too and make sure the events are as good as they can possibly be!
What’s Available?
1. Table Top Tent:
We’ll be looking to introduce a table top tent this year for those just testing the water, a cheap and easy way to get started - you’ll just need to bring a tablecloth, your stock and means to take payments. Places in this tent will be prioritised for first timers and West End residents.
2. A space in a CWE gazebo:
The next step up is to take on a half or full gazebo space, with the expectation that you bring your own tried and tested table or display systems as well as a table covering and means to take payments.
3. Pitch Only:
Finally, if you’re a seasoned pro, with everything you need - you can just book a pitch, and bring your own stall (be it a trailer, horse box, gazebo etc) and everything that needs to go in it. These must be suitable for Morecambe promenade, and if applicable be fully guy roped / weighted to withstand wind gusts of up to 40mph- we will not be going ahead with winds over this level. But will be going ahead in the event of wet weather so do plan accordingly.
* Please note that table hire on the booking form refers only to hiring a table - not to a pitch or stall or area to trade from, you don’t need to hire a table if you have your own that you can bring. Tables must be booked in addition to a place to trade from unless you’ve booked for the table top tent - tables will be provided in that instance only.
